You are so wise and compassionate. I think this is the best interpretation of the Perry tragedy and all of the violence I have read or watched. I believe that your wisdom will someday change the world.
I am so very and sincerely proud of you for addressing this issue. Your insight is in my opinion, spot on. Someone or something in the shooters life had to make him hate others to do this. It probably wasn’t one thing but a combination of things. As you state, we lack empathy and understanding of and for our fellow humans. I remember a saying from a concentration camp in Germany that said , among other things , that it demonstrated man’s inhumanity to man! That is a heavy statement that definitely applies to many things going on in our world and society. We need to remember to do unto others as we would do to ourselves. ( not quoting the Bible). Change starts with each of us and I believe you are definitely on the right path.

Well done. Deep, important thoughts and vulnerability expressed clearly.
"What hurt you?" Three words that speak volumes. Much to think about.
